Danny Hillis delivers a great TED talk about the need for a backup plan if the internet was taken down. It’s true that as our day-to-day lives become more entangled with internet connected devices, we are equally as vulnerable to attacks. Hillis does a great job to help raise awareness of the issue without taking a conspiracy theory approach like so many others do.
In honor of today’s (November 13th) TEDxAsheville event I though it would be appropriate to post a recent TED talk that I found rather interesting. If you don’t know about TED or if you do know about it but aren’t planning on attending please reconsider. Tickets are in the $40 range and should be well worth it. You can purchase TEDx Tickets for the Asheville event HERE.
